Oculus sought out community-trusted creators for launch of its new Quest 2 VR headset and Snazzy Labs was a natural candidate. Snazzy Labs was to write the segment and shoot all of the a-roll/b-roll with Meta editing and publishing the content in-house. Snazzy Labs was to be given final-cut approval.
We spent a fairly extended amount of time with the headset and some of its titles to gather a generous amount of footage for Meta to cut-down to length. Filming took place in multiple locations and our a-roll contained several cuts of each segment (along with variances in scripting) so Meta could select which take they thought suited the video best.
Oculus published the video on YouTube, Facebook, and internal social channels to help orient new-users to the new headset and push software sales.
